I descend David and Rachel [Ferree]Miskimins Washington, Co. MD through their son Abraham and Elizabeth [Bartmess/Portmess] Miskimen (I have over 30 spellings). Elizabeth a sister of James wife, Catherine. Abraham's son David b. in Md.1804 d.Crawford Co. IL was my gr.grandfather. His son, Benjamin Brice m. Henrietta Rosalva Smith b.1854 in Louisville, KY. What happened to John and Matilda Caroline [Meskimen] Smith after 1860.
Family lore says that 1804 David and Matilda were both children of Abraham and Elizabeth. We know so little about Henrietta because she was orphaned in the 1860s. I have copies of many primary source documents of the family [deeds, wills, petitions] as I have been working for 30 years or more. Will trade information.
