my reasearch at the moment only goe back to michael MITCHEISON born about 1840 my husbands grandfather .On 1881 census his name is spelt MITCHISON & his brothers living in same village is spelt mitcheson. Michaels birth is registered as MITCHELSON. so yes I would look for any phonetic spelling . My e-mail is MITCHEISON@AOL.COM if you want to write direct pat
