Dear Carin,
My name is Pam Rengo Richards and I am the John Rengo was my great grandfather. His son, Matt Rengo, who was married to Bertha Jokinen was my grandfather. I am the daughter of William Rengo of Kettle River, Minnesota. Do you know how, why, and when our family name was changed from Mattson to Rengo? I am not actively searching our genealogy but happened to be on the internet trying to find some information on Robin Mattson, a distant relative from Lawler, who is a soap opera star. At any rate, I found this search interesting so decided to respond to write to you. I know Laverne Rengo who you have been in contact with. I also noted the name "Swan Kallio" and remember it from my youth but can't place who he is and where he lived.
I currently live in Tirana, Albania and serve as a missionary here. I look forward to hearing from you.
