Hi,
I am trying to help my friend with her Crotteau and Hatter family histories. Both families resided in Cloquet, Carlton Co., MN in 1925; I do not know how long they remained in Carlton Co.
Her grandparents were Christian Louis CROTTEAU and Katherine HATTER. Their daughter was Margaret Mary Crotteau. Margaret Mary's sister was Alma Crotteau.
The family's tradition is that they are related to Merriwether Lewis.
If anyone can give me advice, or data such as cemeteries, societies, church records,family stories, dates, etc., it would be greatly appreciated.
I will be so happy to share any information which I may discover.
