I am looking for any information on the name HUSTRUN. Johanna Maria Elmund (Hustrun), born: 13 Aug 1845 in Småland, Sweden and emigrated with her parents in 1853. They settled near the site of the Furuby school house north of Center City. I do not know her parents names. The next I know is when she was 17 years old (1862-1863) her brother and her step-father volunteered for service in the Union army during the Civil war. Her brother died in the service. Her step-father returned home with a disease contracted at the front from which he died of several years later.
Johanna Maria(Mary)HUSTRUN?? married Carl Wiberg in 1870. They lived near Furuby. Carl and Johanna Maria(Mary) had a son, George Wiberg (was living in Lindstrom in 1927) and a daughter, Mrs. Clara (Wiberg)Graham (living in Bellingham, Washington in 1927). Carl Wiberg died in 1882, and in 1885 Johanna Maria(Mary) married John Elmund. In 1920 she was living in Chisago City. She died 22 Mar 1927. Also listed in Johanna Maria(Mary) Elmund's obituary is a half-brother, residing at Pray, Wisconsin (no name), 12 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
