On Oct 2, 1888, August Zeigler was murdered at Fort Ripley, Crow Wing Co. MN, by 17 year old Frank Randall of Little Falls. Randall was allowed to plead guilty of murder in the second degree because of his youthful age and received a life sentence.
We are trying to find out more of the details of this event. If you have August in your family line and know anything about this murder, please reply.
