I am seeking information on my great grandparents, Benjamin R. Congdon and Cynthia (spelled variously as Synthia, Cyntha) A. (Davis) Congdon. Cynthia was previously married to (unknown) Poling. They were married in 1863 sometime after the death of Benjamin’s first wife, Sybil, either in Wabasha County or Dodge County. They were living in Dodge County by May 1864 when my grandmother Dora Ann Congdon was born in Wasioja. Two other children were born in Dodge County. They divorced before March, 1870 when Benjamin married Adaline Green in Dodge County. Cynthia had, by this time removed to Blue Earth County where she is shown in the 1870 Census as living in Lake Crystal. Benjamin died in 1898, and is buried next to his first wife Sybil in Wabasha County. I suspect that sometime after his marriage to Adaline Green, he returned to Wabasha County. Specifically, I have not determined the names of Benjamin or Cynthia’s parents, Cynthia’s first husband’s name. Any clues or information would very much appreciated.
Benjamin R. CONGDON was born 1811 in Vermont, and died 1898 in (probably) Gillford Twp, Wabasha County, Minnesota. He was buried, Gillford English Cemetery, Wabasha Co., MN. He married (1) Sybil CRATSENBURG Bef. 1840, daughter of Andrew CRATSENBERG and Barbery GREMS. She was born 1816 in New York, and died 26 Feb 1863 in Gillford, Wabasha Co., Minnesota. She was buried, Gillford English Cemetery, Wabasha Co., MN. He married (2) Cyntha A. DAVIS 1863. She was born Abt. 1838 in Kentucky, and died 28 Jun 1875 in Minnesota. She was buried Valley Cemetery, Shakopee, Carver Co., Minnesota. He married (3) Adaline GREEN 24 Mar 1870 in Dodge County, Minnesota.

i. Alonzo CONGDON, born 1840 in Pennsylvania. He married Louisa Susannah CONWAY 07 Oct 1860 in Pepin, Pepin Co., Wisconsin, daughter of Patrick CONWAY and Margaret COTTER. She was born 10 Feb 1843 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and died 1928 in Lakeville, Dakota Co., Minnesota. Children of Alonzo CONGDON and Louisa CONWAY are: i. Eddie (?) CONGDON, born Abt. 1861, ii.
