Dr. Clarence Jorgenson was born 24 Feb 1902 to parents, Jorgen and Marie Hogelen Jorgenson. He married Gladys Nelson (born 30 Nov 1907), probably in MN about 1926. They had one son Devan Walters born 28 Feb 1928 and they adopted a son Irving, born 28 Feb 1930, in St. Paul, MN. Dr. Jorgenson was Sunday School Superintendent for Main Street Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, which is now Faith Lutheran Church during the 1930s.
Glady's mother Nickolina Petrine Hansen Nelson died shortly after Glady's brother Palmer was born 16 Jan 1914 in Sidney, Richland Co., MT. After her mother died, Gladys spent time with her maternal Aunt Marthe Hansen and Uncle Christian "Chris" Josephson in Sidney, MT and with her maternal Uncle Jim and Aunt Christine Damskov Hansen in Chicago, Cook Co., IL, her maternal Uncle Rev. Samuel and Aunt Pauline Stone Hansen were also in her life. Her parents and extended family were practicing Danish Lutherans, who had settled in Freeborn Co. MN, Ward Co. ND and Richland Co., MT.
Any help with these families would be appreciated.
Glady's brother married Carol Knutson (born 9 Jan 1921) and they had at least one son Keith Grant born 11 Feb 1941.
