Hans Hansen was known as Dr. Hansen. He was a "Rub doctor" or faith healer. He lived on a small farm south of Hutchinson.
Hans and Sara raised two adopted sons Ansgar Schmidt (son of Sara's maternal Uncle Reverand C.H. and Aunt Regina Petersen Schmidt) and Palmer Nelsen son of Sara's sister Nickolina Petrine Hansen Nelson.
Ansgar was born about 1905 in Montana, his parents circumstances are unknown other than they had 5 children including Ansgar.
Palmer was born 16 June 1914 in Sidney, Richland Co., MT to parents Martin and Nikolina Petrine Hansen Nelsen. Palmer had a sister Gladys V. who married Clarence Jorgenson a doctor with an optometric practice in Hutchinson. Palmer's father Martin's circumstances are unknown after his wife Nikolina died sometime prior to 1920.
