Taryn- Sorry I was so abrupt in my last post- I'm in the throws of college exams! I have tried looking in the draft forms, but nothing comes up. As I said, he was a Finnish citizen in America during WWI, and I couldn't find his forms for WWII, even though he didn't go- He wanted to, don't get me wrong! We have a memoir with him being so upset he didn't get to go after the Nazis. The trouble with these two is that they never stayed in one place for very long. That's why I was hoping to find a marriage cert- it seems with their M.O., that she got pregnant, and according to their religion, that was a no-no before marriage, so they got married where they stood, which seemed to be in St. Louis County at the time. As soon as she was ready to travel, they came straight to Maryland. My grandmother's two brothers, Toivo and George aren't found in the birth records in St. Louis Co, that's why I'm a little suspicious of their moving around- not to mention Elvira was in Hancock Michigan right before that, and Jacob was in Ohio. As to what town they were born in, for some reason, Duluth keeps coming up in my notes, but they were jotted quickly when I interviewed my Great Uncle who is like 96. I sincerely appreciate your information and I will try my best to extract something from it. Again, I apologize for my abruptness, it's been a tough semester. : D Keittää Notify Administrator about this message?
