McDugall, Margaret, Daughter, age 8, born MN.
McDugall, Dorothy, Daughter, age 6, born MN.
McDugall, Donald, Son, age 4, born MN.
1930 U.S. Federal Census, Ramsey County, MN ED 182, Page 9A
McDougall, James, Head, owned home/value $3600.00, age 46, married at age 26, born Scotland, Imm. 1908, Painter/Paint Shop
McDougall, Lida, Wife, age 43, married at age 23, born MN
Margaret, Daughter, age 18, born MN.
Dorothy, Daughter, age 17, born MN.
Donald, Son, age 15, born MN.
Jean, Daughter, age 9, born MN.
Nellie, Daughter, age 5, born MN.
In the 1900 census, I found Lida C. Krantz, born April 1887. She was the daughter of Swan Krantz, born April 1854 in Sweden, he was a widower, so I do not know her Mothers name.

This may or may not be your James: James Hunter MacDougall, died 14 May 1945, Ramsey County, MN
Dorothy Ida MacDougall 22 Jan 1913-05 July 1964, Ramsey County. Mother Maiden Name: Krantz
Different variations of the last name is not unusual.
