Andrew August Dahlstrom and Anna Louise Grund were married September 7, 1887 in St. Paul, Ramsey County, MN. They emigrated from Sweden earlier that year. Anna left Goteborg April 12, 1887 on the ship Drottning Lovisa bound for Copenhagen. Listed next to her on the passenger listing is Anders August Andersson, born 1865-07-11, same as for Andrew August Dahlstrom. Family oral history has it that Andrew changed his name from Andersson to Dahlstrom because there were too many Anderssons entering America and he was afraid he would not be allowed in.
