John Felix Morgan was reportedly born in Pennsylvania in 1820. He was in St. Croix, WI, by about 1842. He married Johanna Harnish in 1848 in Stillwater, Minnesota, and had 9 children: Georgiana, Fredricka, Josephine, Henrietta, Mary, John, Hannah, Charles and Ella Louise. In Wisconsin/Minnesota Territory and after statehood he owned a halfway house, a tavern, was a sheriff and conducted an Indian census. He reportedly served during the Civil War from Minnesota and was wounded but I haven't found the records. He died Dec 1867 probably around Stillwater, MN. In 1870 his widow and several of his children returned to Hudson, St. Croix. I would like to learn of John's parents and siblings and war information. I can exchange information. Kay
