I'm looking for a family of DAHLINs that came from Sweden and settled in New Scandia, MN.
Several generations back this 'male direct line' used the surname SPRINGER in Sweden, according to an online tree at Ancestry.
The earliest ancestor in the tree is
1. Samuel Johansson SPRINGER was born 15 JUL 1740 in Edsvara, Västergotländ, Sweden, and died 14 DEC 1804 in Hwassagården, Hornsborga, Sweden. He married Maria JONSDOTTER WFT Est. 1773-1799. She was born 6 JAN 1744/45 in Backgården, Hornborga, Sweden, and died 1831 in Hwassagården, Hornsborga, Sweden.
By the time they came over to American the name was DAHLIN.
