Research advise for Peter Gunsolas (Gunsolus) 1840-1849 Goshen, MO

I am trying to locate information on a Peter Gunsolus (found with numerous spelling variations as: Gunsolas, Gunsales, Gonsalas, etc.) He was in Goshen, Macon County, MO for the 1840 census and served as a juror in "The first jury case, Solsberry Miller vs. John F. Ellerman" (abt 1840/1841) Source: History of Adair, Sullivan, Putnam and Schuyler Counties MO-Published: Chicago: THE GOODSPEED PUBLISHING CO. 1888, 1984, pg. 286

The time period I'm looking at in this area would probably be between 1837 to 1849.

Since I'm out of state, could someone advise me on individuals or organizations that would be willing to aid me in my search for other documentation of Peter Gunsolus in this area?
