Hi, As I stated in a previous reply I do not know the date that the incident happened. The only thing that I know is that at the time they were rounded up they were placed in a log cabin and only my great great grandfather felt it nessecary to escape. The other six men did not feel like they were in danger. They were executed the next morning by the union soilders. My great great grandfather's name was Obediah Thomas. I dont know if he had a family member named Reuben or not but his name was Obediah. The only other clue is that he was very close to one of the people who was executed. either they were very good friends or a family member of Obediahs
