I checked with another woman who is the site coordinator of Atchison Countym, Missouri website and this is what she said: yes, the Senora Cemetery is still there, but it will take some real planning to get to it. I'll email my niece in Atchison County and ask her who owns the land and lives there. The best time of the year to get there would be right now when it's dry and before crops are planted [and
before all the snakes wake up]. It's appr 1/2 mile from any road and you have to drive back through the field and that's why it needs to be either spring or fall before or after crops. I'll email my niece and let you know. Garst lived there last time I was back there but they aren't in the phone book now. They will need to show someone where to drive to get there. (my niece) this is what she wrote -
Okay, I called the expert. He said tell them to stop at Bud Martin's house and he will show them where it is. Bud Martin's house is a really nice brick home, sort of built right out to the road, it seems, to me. Dad said from Bud's house this time of year, you can see the tombstones. He doesn't know for sure whose field you walk thru, but he said, if it isn't a Martin's, Bud will know whose it is and if you are supposed to walk thru it.
