Looking for Sarah J (Swartz) Stephens, also spelled Stevens. Sarah was born about 1855 in Greene Co., IL. Parents: Alexander and Catherine (Gray) Swartz.
She married Mark Stephens 1 Feb 1876, Barton Co., MO. They had three children:
Eva b. about 1877, Barton Co. MO. d. 8 Feb 1879, Crawford Co., KS.
James William, b. 13 Jun 1877, Crawford Co., KS, d. 1 Sep 1965 DeQueen, Sevier Co., AR, m. Molly Stell.,
George, b. 23 Jun 1885, LeRoy, Barton Co., MO, d. (Not proven yet) 27 Sept 1913, State Hosp #3 Vernon Co., MO.
Mark and Sarah divorced in 1886.
Sarah and son George were living in Deerfield, Vernon Co. MO, listed in the 1900 census in the home of L Hill Willis as servents.
