I am trying to trace the Banke family tree. Grace is the oldest child of Louisiana Davis and William Henry Banke. Grace was born March 10, 1896 in Altona, Bates Co., MO and died January 14, 1960 in Carthage, Jasper Co., MO. Grace married Fred Hendrix DeMott on December 20, 1916 in Butler, Bates Co., MO. Fred was born January 28, 1885 in Independence, Montgomery Co., KS. When and where did Fred die? Fred and Grace were the parents of only two daughters (that I know of) Helen Bea DeMott Hart, born 1917 (named after Grace's sister and my grandmother, Beatrice Hess)and Bonnie Lou DeMott Baird, born 1926. My father, Lewis Edward Hess, Jr.is Helen and Bonnie Lou's cousin. He and Bonnie Lou were born the same year and he has several photos of them playing together as kids.
