The Bates County Family History Center is in the process of putting the cemeteries of Bates County online for everyone. We have some of them online now and as we get more ready they are added. We are in the process of transcribing Bates County newspapers and extracting obituaries, marriage, birth, and all related articles. If the complete line of the name is highlighted in blue we have additional information on that person. We are still having some problems but they are being fixed as we go. We are trying to get photographs of the tombstones, obituaries, funeral records and biographies of everyone who once lived in Bates County, Missouri. If you have any information on people we would be very interested. As soon as we complete the cemeteries we will add school information. We are scanning all the old yearbooks so we will have a great collection of school photos.
