Brian, Thought these might be helpful to you as well, if you don't already have them Martha Elizabeth (Scruggs) Hale Funeral services were held at Clever Wednesday afternoon of last week for Mrs. Martha Hale, 76, who died at here home here on Monday morning before, after along illness due to a heart condition. The deceased move here from Clever several years ago and resided on East Elm Street. Survivors include a son, Clyde of Lebanon; a daughter, Mrs. Lennie Hale of Springfield; a brother, William Scruggs of Clever, and two grandchildren. The Revs. Floyd Hanks and Max Hamilton conducted the last rites followed by burial in the Delaware Cemetery. Note: this clipping from the collection of Lula (Rogers) Gardner is not dated. Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Hale who died June 16 at her home in Republic, were held Wednesday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clever Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Hanks and Rev. Max Hamilton, officiating. Burial was in Delaware Cemetery under direction of Harris Funeral Home of Clever. A native of the Nixa community, she was a longtime member of the Clever Baptist Church. She had lived in Republic the past 19 years. Survivors include one son, Clyde C. Hale of Lebanon; one daughter, Mrs. Lennie Hale of Springfield; two grandchildren; one brother, William R.
