I am trying to get help in finding a land record for a BLACK SMITH SHOP. In Ashton, Clark Co., MO. owned and operated by Theodore Chewning, this would have been in the 1890's to early 1900's. about 1914/15 Theodore moved and went to IL. where he opened another Black Smith shop. Son Austin Raymond Chewning stayed in Ashton to finish High School and left in 1916 for IL.
