Sue, will check the newspaper to see if there is any obit listed for Samuel (d 1871) - there may not be paper for that specific time.

You probably know this but the only Champmans listed in New Woodville Cemetery are the following:

Rebecca J, w/o Albert died 7 June 1894

Emly (no dates)

James Champman 7 June 1809 - 28 Oct 1889 and Sarah A. Chapman 22 Apr 1819 - 17 Mary 1895 (both on same stone).

There is no listing for Lewetta and Samuel.

Also have a friend we're trying to get in touch with to see if he can go to cemetery and look for this stone. Will post back if he finds anything.
