Thank you very much. I did indeed have the first and third record, but strangely did not have the second. The soundex search didn't seem to pick up the difference between Etzler and Etzlor. So, many thanks for your excellent find. Importantly, you have helped me place my relatives in Missouri as of 1860 - an important detail as they were in California in 1870 and Missouri in 1850. I remain hopeful about cracking the mystery of who AC is descended from, and am hopeful that the neighboring Etzlers you mentioned in Iowa and Missouri may be relatives living with or near AC and Eveline.
