Jean Bond, genealogist in Vermont obtained an old photo album in an auction. Pictures in the album date from 1860 to 1880 and is marked in cut tin with "Our Friends" How this album ended up in Vt is unknown. I would like to give this album to a Ringo family member who will preserve it in the family and prevent it from ending again in an auction in some distant state. One of the photos was of Preston Hogan Ringo, born 12-3-1856 in Prestonville, Ky who died in Adrian, Cass Co, Mo 4-25-1940. Preston married Daisy (Dolly) Duncan on 11-5-1890 in Clinton Co, Mo. Daisy was daughter of Joseph Duncan and Juliet Jane Duncan. Preston was the son of William Luther Ringo, born 12-15-1821 and his photo is also in the album. Many members of the Ringo family fought in the Mexican war in the 1840's and some settled in Mo. Others left Mo on wagon trains in the late 1860's and settled in Ca and Or. These Ringo's are my first cousins and I would like to see the pictures preseved. Other photos include family names: Duncan, Wilson, Hyman, Eubanks, White, Osborn, Lester, Chambers, Neblett, Bruce, Gammi, King, Massey, Lewis, Simmons, Barriekman, Pearson, Grider, Moreland, Bransford, Brockman, and Cave. Anyone having knowledge of the descendants are asked to contact me at JRingo2801@aol.com
