According to the 1870 census Clinton Co MO (and confirmed by the 1880) the parents of John B. Estep were Zachariah and Louisa. Zachariah was born in MD 1814 and Louisa was born in OH c1819. Your John B. was 14yrs old at time of the 1870. His siblings were: Nancy and Hester and the youngest child Emmett. All the kids were born in Indiana, which means the family was in Indiana between 1850 and 1862.
The 1880 census of Lathrop, Clinton MO shows John B. Estep born 1856 Indiana and that his father was born MD and his mother born OH. Jeanette was born in Minnesota.
