Russellville, in Cole County MO was named for and founded by a Russell, and there were many of them there at one time. My grandmother, his daughter, Zerah Russell married G. N. Steffens. Both now dead. Her brothe was Otto Strobel, also of Russellville, and now dead. Could this help?
