I'd be in your debt if someone could help me with a Jefferson City obituary lookup for the Rev. Alfred Monks Crain, a Baptist minister whom I believe also may have been known as the Rev. A.M. Crain. He died 25 December 1949 in Jefferson City and was born on or abt 25 August 1874 in southern Missouri. He reportedly was ordained around 1904 and served congretations in Perry, Leadwood and Burney, Mo., before retiring in the latter city in 1947. He was my great-great-grandfather and I am very eager to find out more information about him -- I have none because he and his son somehow became estranged during my great-grandfather's youth.
