Hello,
I am searching for information on Daniel Colgan, b. 1804 (place unknown) he was married to Mary Ann, and they had two known children: Ruth B. Colgan who was a music teacher, and Martha (Mattie) Colgan. Mattie was born 1838, and married Benjamin Glime 1857. She died 24 April 1858 in the explosion of the steamer St. Nicholas. Benjamin was one of the clerks on the vessel and he also died.
I am trying to verify Mattie's parentage for a possible book about the disaster, and any information on the Colgan family would be very much appreciated.
