I am looking for a branch of the Johnson family that may have come to Dade County with the Cox families.
Three Johnsons left Knox Co., Tn for Missouri with a 26 wagon train in the early 1850's:
Jacob Johnson & wife, Joanna Ailor
Lewice Johnson & husband, Jacob Cox
Presley Johnson
I see that information about Jacob Cox and family is found in the old Cox graveyard in Dade Co.
It is Jacob Johnson and wife, Joanna, that I am interested about.
They settled in Linn Co. first and are shown in the 1860 & 1870 Census. In 1880, they are living in Carroll Co., near the family of Joanna's sister (Elizabeth Gallaher).

Eliza b. 1851 MO
Elenora b. 1852 MO
Sarah b. 1854
Jacob b. 1861
Wesley b. 1862
Henry b. 1866
David b. 1868
Does anyone know anything about this family? Did they end up in Dade County? I can't seem to find a thing on them after 1880.....like they vanished into thin air.
Any help would be appreciated.
