Seeking cemetery or church records, and newspaper obituaries for proof of death and location of burial:
(1) John Wesley Thompson who died 16 Feb 1888 at or nr Maysville. Probably residing with daughter Elizabeth Abigail and her husband George Ward Howell.
(2)John Wesley`s wife, Nancy Ann Shields Thompson who died 1 Sep 1890, same area? Nancy was daughter and grandaughter of American Revolution soldiers.
The Howells were residing in Mississippi Co MO on the 1920 Census with son Malcolm Dean Howell.
The Thompsons were in Barry Pike Co IL on the 1880 census.
(3)Where is Nancy Shields Thompson in the 1890 Census?
Reference for John W. Thompson`s death in Quincy IL newspaper where Dentist son Dr. George W. Thompson resided and attended funeral in Maysville.
