So, is this John Dixon, bc 1805, the brother or father of Hiram Dixon, bc 1821, who married Nancy Rebecca Pitts 4 July 1843 in Polk Co Mo. I would assume he was Hiram's brother since John had a son, Hiram, listed in census b 1847.
Also, what was the relationship between the Skinner/Dixon/Stricklin families, if any, since Martha Dixon and Jackson Skinner were married at "Maridy Stricklin" residence by Y.M. Pitts, MG. (Book 2, page 42)
It appears that an M. Skiner who died c1887 is buried in Pittsburg Cemetery, there is a Meridith W. and Nancy Stricklin buried there also. Nancy Stricklin, b 1818, was she a sibling of John b1805 and Hiram b1821?
William Madison Dixon, the oldest son of Hiram and Nancy Pitts Dixon, married as his second? wife, Mary Florence Robinson, probably in Ok or Tx. Mary Florence Robinson was daughter of William Penn Robinson, oldest son(that I have a name for) of Mumford B. Robinson, my grgrgr grandfather. I descend from Mumford's daughter Nancy Johnson Robinson Sanders. Just curious.
