What I am trying to find is the relationship of this John Dixon, who married Julia Harris, to Hiram Lafayette Dixon who married Nancy R. Pitts and lived in Hickory county MO. Hiram had a brother by the name of John but I don't believe that this John Dixon, who married Julia Harris is that brother.
By the way I believe Julia Harris to not be the first wife of John Dixon, I don't know the name of the first.
Hiram L. Dixon, b. 1921, Trigg, KY, is the son of Hiram Dixon d. in 1829, Christian, KY and Sarah Wilson d. in 1842, Trigg, KY.
Martha A. Dixon d/o John and Julia Dixon and w/o Andrew J. Skinner, s/o Giddy Skinner, had a son Joseph Elmer Skinner. Joseph was raised by my great grandparents William and Martha L. (Dixon) Parks, after the death of his parents, and took the name of Parks for the rest of his life and his descendants are Parks'. I have, so far, not found any official adoption or guardianship for Joseph.
