I am looking for Alfred Franklin Smith and Nora (Frost) Smith. Both were born in Jersey County, Illinois and were there until 1910 census.
In the 1920 census, they are living in Washington, Laclede County. While searching SOS MO archives I found the death certificate for Nora F Smith. She died 6 Dec 1921 in Union Twp, Laclede County. I would like an obituary for her.
Also on the SOS MO, I found a death certificate for Alfred Frank Smith. He died 14 Jul 1948 in Lebanon, Laclede County. According to his death cert he was buried in Conway Cemetery. Nora's death cert doesn't say a place of burial, only thing it says is Morgan, Missouri.
I am not sure if this is the correct Alfred Franklin but I am thinking (hoping) it is.
I would like any obits you can find on either one and any tombstone inscription there may be. I am hoping they are buried together which would seal the deal for me.
Also on Alfred Frank's death cert it says his wife was Julia and he is widowed. Which with Nora dying in 1921 and him not until 1948 it is likely that he remarried.
Thank you so much for any help that you can give me. The names of their children are George L., Charles F., Anna, and Alma. On Alfred's death cert, the informant was Mrs. F.E. Clark, his daughter.
In the 1920 census, all the children are still living at home except George L.
Still looking in the 1930 census for Alfred which I did find a Frank married to a Julia which would work IF the death cert is for the right person.
