Patsie, I don't know if this will help or not but in researching my husband's family the name Odell is there as having married a Russell gal in Rockville, Parke, IN. Also the Odells were in Coles county, IL. I did not do a lot on this line since it was so far to research in IN and the digging was very hard. I do know that our Russell family also had ties in Coles, Edgar and others in IL. In fact we have made a few trips to Coles and Paris, Edgar, IL. I have some reference books from there and still belong to Coles co gen. soc.
It is really odd that you mention Cainsville, Harrison, MO because that is close to Mercer and Grundy Counties where my family finally settled. Small world.
