I am looking for the parents of Archibald Childress b. 9/13/1836, KY, d. 8/14/1922 Polk County, Missouri. No middle name is known. He married Sara Elizabeth Millican (dau. of Minot and Charlotta (Jiles) Millican) at some point in his life, but Sara was his third wife (wife 1 and 2 passed away). He is known to have had ten children (unsure if all ten were from one wife) – one of these children was my grandfather, Archie Julian Childress b. 6/15/1893, d. unknown, buried in Polk County, Missouri. It is likely that Archibald was born on his family farm somewhere along the Big Sandy River and raised in Rockcastle County, KY. He had three brothers – Arthur, John and Wallace. It is not known if he had sisters or additional brothers.
I need information on Archibald in order to trace my family back further. I am new to the search, but am incredibly eager to learn as much as I can.
