Pelfrey &, Ford (TN), Todd, Smith, & Wilson esp. in Dallas County 1860+

I sure could use some help in understanding the ties between these families in MO. The Pelfreys (Pelphry, Pelfer, Pelfry, etc.) under consideration here came from TN. The Pelphrey spelling is usually "reserved" for those from our KY branch.

Here is what I already have:
The mother of William Becton Todd ('Beckton' on his WWI Draft Reg. Card) was Pricey Elizabeth Pelfrey whose father and mother were Nathan Pelfrey and Elizabeth Ford of Meigs County, Tennessee.

Nathan and Elizabeth were married 11 July 1841 in Meigs County. Nathan 30, and Elizabeth 27, are in the 1850 Meigs County census with children:
Louisa Jane Pelfrey 7, Mary Ann Pelfrey 4, and William B. Pelfrey 3.

Only Louisa J, Pelfrey (b. in TN) has been found in an 1860 census and that is in Dade (Marion) County, MO. living with a Franklin Dennis family as a Domestic Laborer. They don't appear to be relatives since Franklin is from IND and Mary Dennis is from PA.

Not until after the Civil War in the 1870 MO census do I find any more of this Pelfrey family and that is in Cedar County in Madison, MO:

Nathan, (B. in TN in 1820) has apparently died between 1865 and 1870.

Louisa Jane Pelfrey who was in Dade Co.(Marion),MO in 1860 census is missing and has apparently married.

Elizabeth Ford Pelfrey, 51, is the head of the house.

Mary Ann Pelfrey 23,
William B. Pelfrey 19,
Pricey Elizabeth 17,
Sarah E. Pelfrey 14,
Jackson Pelfrey 11,
Susan F. 10,
James W. 5.

Pricey Elizabeth mar. Geo. W. Todd in Dallas County 17 Nov 1878.

Sarah E. mar. Geo. Smith in Dallas County (Buffalo) 5 April 1674. (Not sure if this is the Smith family presently under considerationa) If she m. the Geo. W. Smith that she appears to have, he was a widower with a daughter, Phenecia, who was born blind. If this is the one, she seems never to have had any children of her own.

I have found Jackson Pelfrey (probably Thomas Jackson) in about three places in MO and AR, but it doesn't seem he ever married.

I have never found any trace of Wm. B. Pelfrey (have no idea if this could be 'Becton'), Susan F., or James W.(probably James Washington)

The mother, Elizabeth Ford Pelfrey, was a relative, to the Ford families who came from meigs Co., TN to Dallas County, MO about the same time. I believe that some of the Fords who made the move from TN to MO were the William D.Ford, the Stephen Ford, and the Edmund Ford, Jr. families.

I did find a Sarah J Pelfer, b. abt. 1875, who m. Hiram A. Wilson 22 Jul 1903 at the "residence of P.E. (Pricey Elizabeth; mother or aunt?) Todd" which led me to believe that Geo. W. Todd had passed away by 1903.

Any help in tying these together or finding the "lost" ones would be appreciated.
