A crowd of boys who had collected on the Levee, near Carr street, yesterday morning, inaugurated a sort of general combat, and during its progress Mike GALLAGHER, a youth of sixteen, stuck his knife into the left breast of John DOWNEY, who is one year his senior. The wound is a deep one, and Dr. GARLOCK pronounces it dangerous, it being possible that the lung has been penetrated. GALLAGHER was arrested by Officer DUNN a short time after the cutting. He lives at 1132 North Second street, and the home of the wounded boy is at 205 Biddle.
