Hello again! I didn't even think to check if this particular Bayless line was in earlier census's. After I got your message I went and looked on Ancestry.com, but didn't find any. Did you find the other references here on Genealogy.com? I haven't subscribed to the 'library' yet, but am beginning to think it is a good idea. I am very new to researching our Family Tree and don't really know what I am doing. Have you been doing this long? Can I ask a few questions? After talking with my husband's aunt last night I think I have been going in the wrong direction. She says that George and Anna (her grandparents) actually lived in Arizona. I have a 1920 census with them living in California, but maybe they moved to Arizona after and then died there. I know there son, Eugene, lived in Arizona and just died there a few years ago, so its not a huge leap to think they could have been living close to him. I will try finding some records in Arizona. One of the reasons I think Joseph and Clara could be George's parents is the fact that he carries the names down. I have looked at a lot of other Bayless's, but none of them had any matching names. George actually named his daughter Clara and his son Joseph. I could just be wishing on emptiness, but I am going to continue to try and find links between the two. If it turns out this is his family then there will be several more branches to explore. I am beginning to think George's wife never existed! I have searched and searched for a link for her and come up completely blank every time. I have census reports to be filled with all kinds of discrepencies, from different dates of birth, birth locations, to completely different spellings of names. I am beginning to think this could take a very long time to complete. Thank you for taking an interest in my search! I know it can be time consuming. Jennifer Notify Administrator about this message?
