Doug thank you for your reply, I would never have found them in 1850 with the spelling of the last name like that.
I am leaning toward Alex's family right now since they were all living on the same street but of course that doesn't mean I am right.
I am going to keep searching until I find his death certificate which Missouri told me they don't have them that far back but maybe I will get lucky somewhere.
