I am researching the life and times of Ruby Darby who was a blues singer/vaudeville performer 1913 - 1936 - most of her time was spent in OK, TX, MO, KS from 1915 - 1922.
In 1922 she moved to CA where she settled into radio.
I have come across the obit for Ensley Barbour who died in 1946 in MO. Ensley Barbour owned 30 Theatres in the West and managed 35 Stock Companies. In his obit, it specifically mentioned that he managed Ruby Darby.
Would anyone reading this forum have suggestions how one might gather information on the Barbour stock companies or have information how one might find information on Ruby Darby's association with the Barbour Stock Companies.
Any and all suggestions appreciated.
