Carol....Found a few things, but you may have these, too. Egbert was on the 1850 census with his parents. Or, at least I assume they are his parents. Do you need that census? My thought is that if he was in the home for disabled soldiers in 1901 and died in 1902, it is likely he died in that home in Kansas. Do you have his civil war pension application? He is listed on this site:
