Thanks Thomas. You're right, of course. I sort of overgeneralized. Elizabeth Patterson is John's sister, and James Patterson is Ellen Darcy's brother. The brother-sister married to sister-brother occurred in 1904 in Oklahoma Indian Territory. The info you added at the end about Jane having five children in all with two deceased is new to me. Thanks, again! That fits with my assumption that she probably wouldn't be having her first child at age 26, which would have been the case looking at the difference in age between herself and her daughter Elizabeth.
