Looking for birth record, John L Brooks may have been a twin to Helen Brooks, possible middle name Lorenzo or Lawrence, father Henry, mother Harriet. Family records written by granson to Henry indicate 1854 as birth but that does not fit time line. Labored as missionary with John Taylor in England, later President of LDS Church. Immigrated from England 1854/5 Ran Ferry & Boot Shoe shop in St Louis, Mo. Moved to Provo, then Lake Shore Utah. Living in Spanish Fork Utah in 1880 census. Henry Saul Brooks was born in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, 2 Sep 1834, son of John & Henrietta Saul Brooks. We have no history of Grandfather’s childhood days.
