I'm not related, and am not having much more luck than you are.
I believe the Crossley/Callaway marriage is Matilda. There is a Robert Smith Callaway buried at Ebenezer Cem. Marshfield. He was b. ~1821 & d. 1901.His 1st wife died in 1881 & is buried at Marshfield Cem.
I did find reference to two other fires. In Feb 1880 the dwelling of Mrs. Crossley burned. Also on 1/31/1886 there was a large fire and buildings belonging to Mrs. M A Callaway (and others) burned.
The only other thing I found was
1876 Census - Marshfield
M A Crossley
Laura Jenkins
Elizabeth Jenkins
James Jenkins
Adison Crossley
The only other things I find are James' marriage & Laura's death. Can't find R S Callaway in 1900, although headstone says he died in 1901.None of his family trees that I've found mention the second marriage.
