Looks like he had gone to the hospital in Maryville, where he died from sigmoid (lower large) intestinal cancer that he had been suffering from for two years, and had been under doctor's care for a month and 9 days.
Born March 1, 1864 in Germany, he died Oct 19, 1942.
He was buried in Bolckow, which is in Andrew County, with the funeral handled by E.C Breit of Savannah, Missouri.
He had been widowed twice.
