It may pay to have the marriage records checked in Clarinda to find out who Charles Friedrich's parents were. He was apparently born about 1886-1887 according to the paper's marriage abstract, and according to the 1925 census. So he should be somewhere on the 1895, 1905 and 1915 Iowa State Census, and on the 1900, 1910, and 1920 federal census, and have registered for the draft in 1917-1918. Yet I can turn him up on any of these.

Clarinda will hopefully also have a birth record for the son Rayland.
