Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Washington Mobley and Catharine Hood were likely married in Lancaster Dist., SC. Catharine was daughter of Rev. War soldier Mathew Hood and Mary (an old 1966 DAR app lists her as Mary L. Smith of Maryland, but don't know the proof). USC 1850 Lauderdale co., AL lists Washington Mobbly 45 SC and Catharine 45 SC; ch b AL are Mary 19, Sarah 17, Elizabeth 15, Washington 13, Catharine 11, Adeline 9 and William Twitty 6. Alfred Mobley m Jemima White 6 Apr 1830 might be a brother of Washington Mobley. If nothing else, this may give you some idea of who/where. I'll send more information email; some is too long for here, some is to 'iffy' to go public. Don't like people picking up unproven conjecture as gospel.
