Hezekiah Madison Mobley, also known as "Mac", was the older brother of my great-great-grandfather Joseph Sheppard Mobley. Their parents were:

Reason (or Rezin) Mobley
b. December 19, 1818, South Carolina
m. (1) February 23, 1832, to Lucretia Duncan (or Dunkin)
m. (2) July 25, 1875, to Martha Ann Cates
d. March 22, 1882, Coweta County, Georgia, buried Macedonia Baptist Cemetery, Coweta County, GA

Lucretia Duncan (or Dunkin)
b. 1804, South Carolina
d. January 18, 1874, Coweta County, GA (per Macedonia Church Records)

Three sons died in the Civil War: Stephen, Andrew and William. I also show a daughter Mary Ann, who I believe died young.

Son Joseph moved to Bastrop County, Texas, in 1871. Hezekiah also moved to Bastrop County, Texas, sometime after 1880. In 1880, he and Sarah are in Carroll County, GA.

Hezekiah married Sarah Jane Jones in Coweta County, Georgia, on November 9, 1854. I show Hezekiah & Sarah to have the following children:
1. John Henry
2. William
3. Mary Ann
4. Frances Jane
5. Steve A.
6. Edward Madison
7. Martha S. "Carrie"
8. Joseph W.
9. Lucretia "Creasie"
10. Reason
