Sons of Notley Mobley, Randolph County Georgia
Posted by: Ethan Fellows (ID *****5168) Date: February 28, 2003 at 09:33:49

The 1840 Morgan County Georgia census notes that Notley had
two sons, ages 15-20. In the 1850 Randolph County Georgia
census, William and family are next door to Notley and his
two daughters, his wife having died before the 1840 Morgan
County census. Could a Joseph Mobley who married Amanda
Bell on 27 January 1851 in Early County Georgia and moved
to Henry County Alabama have been Notley's other son?
Amanda Bell Mobley, widowed, and her three children, the
first and second born in Alabama, the third in Georgia,
were back near her father, Hugh Bell, when enumerated
in the 1860 Calhoun County Georgia census.
